What should I know about using public transport in the Manilva area?
Manilva has introduced a useful municipal bus service that connects the various areas within the municipality. The service runs from the Viñas Interpretation Center (CIVIMA) and covers key locations including Manilva Green, Mexican Pueblo, Duquesa Port, El Hacho, Los Hidalgos, Princess Kristina, Hacienda Guadalupe, Bahía de las Rocas, and Sabinillas.
The bus operates Monday to Friday with departures at 10:00, 11:30, 13:00, 16:00, and 17:30. Tickets cost €1.25 per trip, with a reduced rate of €0.75 for pensioners. This service is designed to reduce the need for private vehicles and help decongest parking areas whilst being environmentally friendly.
The service was initially launched for summer months but there’s potential for it to extend year-round. Remember that mask-wearing is mandatory on public transport and you must respect physical distancing guidelines. This bus service provides a convenient way to travel between the different urbanisations and areas without needing your own car.
