What is Manilva famous for?

- Moscatel Wine — Perhaps most famously, Manilva is renowned for its sweet Moscatel wine, made from sun-dried grapes using traditional methods passed down through generations. The wine is produced locally and enjoyed across the region. Every September, the town celebrates the Fiesta de la Vendimia (grape harvest festival), where visitors can even stomp grapes with their feet!
- Whitewashed Villages (Pueblos Blancos) — The village of Manilva Pueblo is a classic Andalusian white village perched in the hills, and the nearby village of Casares — with its stunning Moorish castle — is equally iconic and one of the most photographed villages in southern Spain.
- Castillo de la Duquesa — This historic fortress with Roman ruins and a museum is a key landmark of the area, giving the popular marina area its name.
- Views of the Straits of Gibraltar — Manilva is one of the few places where you can watch the sun rise over the Straits of Gibraltar and, on a clear day, see all the way to the mountains of Morocco in Africa.
