Are there new developments and improvements happening in the Manilva area?

Last updated:

Yes, the Manilva area is experiencing exciting developments that will enhance both visitor experiences and local infrastructure. Several major projects are underway or recently completed.

Castillo de la Duquesa is getting a significant upgrade with a new archaeological visitors centre (costing €369,137) that will showcase the Roman fish processing factory dating from the 1st to 5th century AD. The project includes elevated walkways, information plaques, and evening lighting to protect and interpret this historic site.

The hotel scene is expanding dramatically with the new Hotel Conrad Costa del Sol (Hilton’s first luxury five-star hotel in Spain) opening in Casares. This €70 million investment will feature 194 rooms, spa facilities, swimming pools, and haute cuisine restaurant, creating around 200 jobs.

Education infrastructure is also improving with plans for a new primary school in Casares Costa serving the growing coastal population. The school will accommodate the 577+ children under 12 currently living in the area.

Transport has been enhanced with a new urban bus service connecting various urbanisations from the Viñas Interpretation Center through to Bahía de las Rocas, operating Monday to Friday with affordable fares (€1.25 for adults, €0.75 for pensioners).
