A very nice and small beach located in La Perla de la Bahía, Casares. Very quiet beach to enjoy alone and walk along its shore enjoying the sound of the waves of the sea breaking on the coast.

It is a beach of stones and large rocks on the shore with a beautiful landscape of the Torre de la Sal.

Torre de la Sal (Salt Tower) or Torre del Salto de la Mora

This 16th century tower located on a promontory of the Casareña coast between the Manilva River and the Camarate Stream which was also known as Torre del Salto de la Mora.
It has two heights, and it also has the peculiarity of having a square floor plan, which differentiates it from the rest of the towers that we find along the coast. And the fact is that, unlike these, the Torre de la Sal would not be a watchtower in the strict sense.

In addition, it appears integrated in the official system of towers of the navy. It seems that it is an Islamic work and more specifically, due to its typology, Nasrid.

In 1567 it was mentioned as “…Castle where the Duke of Arcos wanted to populate a place…” according to the order given by Carlos I in 1528. The Duke would also build some salt flats in its vicinity from which its current name would derive; however, in 1571 it was still not finished.
