Moras y Cristianas
FinishedThe historic Castillo de la Duquesa provides the setting for an evening celebrating culture, creativity and the connections between different communities when Moras y Cristianas returns to Manilva for its fifth edition.
Organised by the Ateneo Libre de Manilva, the event takes place on Saturday 10 October from 6:00pm, bringing together live music, poetry, history, fashion and traditional Spanish song in a varied programme dedicated to women, cultural diversity and friendship.
Presented by Ana Paula Mena, the evening will feature musical performances from Walter Lee and Manolo Bay, alongside a historical presentation by José Ángel Cadelo and poetry from Juan Emilio Ríos Vera and Mariluz Reyes.
Fashion takes centre stage with the Moras y Cristianas fashion show, while Zohra El Gharbaoui will add a musical finale with her performance of copla.
The evening will also recognise two women for their contribution to the community, with the Moras y Cristianas 2026 awards being presented to Hasna Kanbou Bendoum and Águeda Ortega.
Set within one of Manilva’s most distinctive historic landmarks, this promises to be an entertaining and thought-provoking evening that brings together artistic expression, heritage and people from across the local community.
Admission is free, with entry subject to available capacity.
