Following the huge success of their first Spanish tour in 2022, the Kiev Ballet returns to perform their most iconic production, Swan Lake, at the Felipe VI Theatre on 9 October at 20:30.

One of the most beloved ballets of all time, Swan Lake was composed by Tchaikovsky between 1875 and 1876. It tells the story of Prince Siegfried, who falls in love with Princess Odette, cursed by the sorcerer Von Rothbart and transformed into a swan. Tchaikovsky’s score remains as stirring today as ever, weaving together sorrow, joy, hope and love through some of classical music’s most enduring melodies.

The production is renowned for its graceful, elegant choreography, capturing the beauty of swans in motion — with the swan dance standing out as one of ballet’s most iconic sequences.

More than a century after its premiere, Swan Lake continues to captivate audiences worldwide, cementing its place as a timeless masterpiece of music and classical dance.
