Isabel Martín, “Ela”, Brings “La Memoria del Azul” to Estepona

Room 1 of Casa de Las Tejerinas, on Plaza de las Flores, will host a new exhibition from Marbella-born painter Isabel Martín, known artistically as Ela, from 1 to 14 October, Estepona Town Council has announced.

The exhibition brings together fourteen large-format pieces, all oil on linen. The artist describes her creative process as a kind of game played out on a blank canvas, one whose rules reinvent themselves daily.

About the artist

Born in Marbella in 1968, Isabel Martín studied Art Therapy at Universidad de Nebrija, graduating in 2024, and holds a degree from the Slade School of Fine Art at University College London, awarded in 1994.

Over the course of her career she has held more than ten solo exhibitions. Recent highlights include “Los Colores del Tiempo” at Nítido Gallery, Marbella (2026); “Días Perfectos” at MGEC, Marbella (2025); “Vuelta al Origen” at Hotel El Fuerte, Marbella; “Contigo Siempre es Primavera” at Hotel Kempinski, Estepona (2023); “Hilos de Oro” at Museo El Molino, Ojén; and a showing at Galería Toro Brossard in Granada (2021).

With more than 25 years of artistic experience, Isabel Martín currently works as an independent, freelance artist. Her achievements include recognition at the 26th National Engraving Awards (2021), the María Teresa Toral Prize, and an honour from the Museo del Grabado Español Contemporáneo.
