In Estepona, it’s announced that the tenth ‘Día del Pedal’ will be celebrated on Sunday, October 8th, marking the Year of the Bicycle in Estepona. This edition will have a special charitable focus. The ‘Pedalea por Mario’ (Pedal for Mario) event aims to raise funds for Mario, a young boy from Estepona with cerebral palsy, who requires financial support for his necessary treatments. Both organizing associations will set up a merchandise booth, where attendees can purchase a water bottle for their bike or a bracelet + pendant for 3 euros. Our township will once again host one of the most eye-catching sporting shows of the summer, such as the Manilva Beach Rugby tournament 2023 This event will take place on the beach of La Noria in Sabinillas on July 15th and has been organized by Costa Barbarians and the delegation of Sports, led by Manolo Gil, and belongs to the Spanish Rugby Playa 5 Series. The “Tuesdays with Art” initiative begins on August 2 at 9:30 p.m. These days is celebrated three times this August. XIII CARNIVAL NIGHT 2022 On July 30, the XIII Carnival Night will be held at the Colegio San Luis de Sabinillas. Feria Explick 2022 is organizated by Expoclick. It’s a company dedicated to the organization of events and fairs of the world of Playmobil. In this case, they are in charge of holding an open-air playmobil fair on Sabinillas beach, Manilva. This outdoor click fair consists of a set of folding tents from about 50 square meters to 20 square meters. Each of them set on a different theme. From battles of the Middle Ages to zoos with hundreds of animals, characteristic settings of countries around the world, etc. It is not the first time that this fair has been held in Sabinillas. The VII Guiso Flamenco will take place next July 3rd. Organized by the Flamenca Cultural Peña of Manilva together with the Delegation of Culture, all partners of the entity can attend this meeting. To access the event, you will have to be accredited with the partner card and with the entry provided from the Council of Culture itself, located in the CIVIMA and from 09:00 am to 14:00 pm. Organised by Duquesa Charitable Society of Saint George in collaboration with the Manilva Council Tourism Department, Cathy’s Clown, La Reina de las Tapas, McGuiness’s Bar, and O’Callaghans Bar, events kick off at 11 am with a craft fair, followed by music with DJ, the local international Love to Sing Choir from 1 pm, The Islanders from Denmark, a Scottish/Irish band playing from their extensive repertoire of English and Scottish songs who will play from 2.30 pm. The Culture Delegation has planned, within its program of activities for the spring day, an artistic event on the street; “Art in the Street” has been an innovative initiative that will start on March 27th at the core of the Castle of the Duchess. This activity will have different scenarios, where various music, dance and theatre shows will simultaneously take place; all conducted by EMMDAT students and teachers. This meeting with art will take place from 11:30h and until 13:30h in the indicated places: Monument of the Duchess Castle, Paseo Marítimo and Plaza Miramar. From the Delegation of Culture, and as responsible for it, Alba Jimenez wants to extend this invitation to all the neighbours of our municipality and visitors to attend this act.
🎭 Casares celebrates its carnival this weekend “Dates Changed Due to bad Weather” 🥳 It will be Saturday March 12th in Casares Village ▶️In Casares a party has been organized for all and will start at 12 o’clock, parade starting from the Peñón Roao and scheduled to end in the Plaza with the presentation of the groups. ▶️In the Paseo de la Carrera the children’s zone will be installed, with inflatable games and animation, while in Plaza España there will be music from 16.00 hours until midnight, with Dj David Roja and Dale Mambo Show. ▶️El Casares Costa is directed for the children’s audience. The delegation of Culture for Manilva Town Hall is preparing for the 28th February, Andalusia Day the program of activities to commemorate this special date. The Plaza de la Vendimia will host at 11:30 am the official opening by the Municipal School of Music Dance and Theatre. Followed by at 12 noon, the performance of the Chamber Musical Group and the Choir of the School of Music. At 13:30 the attendees will get to taste local food and wine and from 16:30 the group “Sonacay” will perform. CHRISTMAS PARTY AT MAR STREET IN MANILVA Mar Street in Manilva will wear color on December 26th. These will be added to the nice holiday lighting, so that young and old can enjoy a new activity started in the party area, directed by the edil, Daniel Muñoz. RUGBY BEACH 5 SPANISH SERIES BACK TO MANILVA La Feria beach will be the stage of the Spanish Series of Rugby Beach 5. The sports department headed by edil Manolo Gil, reports that after last years break, this spectacular sport will return to our municipality on July 10. According to the organization, during that day, teams across the country will compete in different categories, senior male and female levels, veterans, under-16 and under-14. Casares celebrates their Carnival 2021 on March 6th Carnival de Casares 2021 features special and telematic programming targeting both children and adults. Casares councilwoman Antonia Pineda has explained that for safety reasons a series of virtual actions has been opted out.
