The 15th Anniversary of “La Parranda de Manilva”. We invite you to the presentation of a Christmas cultural association. The Belenes Contest 2023 is accessible to everyone. You can sign up until December 13 and register in the Culture branch at the Manilva City Council. What are the rules of the contest? All people who wish may participate in this contest, whether they are registered in our municipality, as long as the home where the Nativity scene is installed is located in our municipal area. To participate in the contest there is no age limit, and registration can be made in the name of any member of the family unit or any other person independent of it. The techniques for creating the Nativity scenes presented can be made of any material, and any type of technique can be used. Vendimia Manilva 2023 is the collection or harvest of the grapes, generally referring to those that will be used for the production of wine or liquor. VII Guiso Flamenco

The VII Guiso Flamenco will take place next July 3rd. Organized by the Flamenca Cultural Peña of Manilva together with the Delegation of Culture, all partners of the entity can attend this meeting. To access the event, you will have to be accredited with the partner card and with the entry provided from the Council of Culture itself, located in the CIVIMA and from 09:00 am to 14:00 pm. The Manilva Multipurpose Pavilion will offer attendees, starting at 2pm on the cited day, a small appetizer to be followed by a country-style prepared rice, a fry and dessert. Popular priced bar will also be enabled. After the meal the doors will open for all who want to attend the performances that will start at 16:00 h with the students of the Municipal Dance School. Next up, the singer Rocíó Alcalá accompanied by Curro Sanchez on guitar, will take the stage to make the present audience enjoy. After, the presentation of the poster for the Festival Flamenco de la Vendimia will take place. La Peña Cultural Flamenca wanted to convey its gratitude to all the people who collaborate with the realization of this event.

Platinum Jubilee Celebration in Sabinillas Come and join us on Sunday 5 June in Plaza Los Naranjos, Punta Almina, Sabinillas, for a day of celebrations on the occasion of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. Organised by Duquesa Charitable Society of Saint George in collaboration with the Manilva Council Tourism Department, Cathy’s Clown, La Reina de las Tapas, McGuiness’s Bar, and O’Callaghans Bar, events kick off at 11 am with a craft fair, followed by music with DJ, the local international Love to Sing Choir from 1 pm, The Islanders from Denmark, a Scottish/Irish band playing from their extensive repertoire of English and Scottish songs who will play from 2.30 pm. There will also be entertainment for the kids, so make sure to come down and enjoy the atmosphere.

Charity theater “Doña Rosita. The language of flowers” 2022

V Sabi Scooter Day

The Tourism and Youth Areas of Manilva City Council, prepare for the “V Sabi Scooter Day” in association with “Sabi Scooter”, the activities will take place on May 14th with the national meeting of Lambretta Scooter Assc. The Culture Delegation has planned, within its program of activities for the spring day, an artistic event on the street; “Art in the Street” has been an innovative initiative that will start on March 27th at the core of the Castle of the Duchess. This activity will have different scenarios, where various music, dance and theatre shows will simultaneously take place; all conducted by EMMDAT students and teachers. This meeting with art will take place from 11:30h and until 13:30h in the indicated places: Monument of the Duchess Castle, Paseo Marítimo and Plaza Miramar. From the Delegation of Culture, and as responsible for it, Alba Jimenez wants to extend this invitation to all the neighbours of our municipality and visitors to attend this act.

Casares Carnival 2022

🎭 Casares celebrates its carnival this weekend “Dates Changed Due to bad Weather” 🥳 It will be Saturday March 12th in Casares Village ▶️In Casares a party has been organized for all and will start at 12 o’clock, parade starting from the Peñón Roao and scheduled to end in the Plaza with the presentation of the groups. ▶️In the Paseo de la Carrera the children’s zone will be installed, with inflatable games and animation, while in Plaza España there will be music from 16.00 hours until midnight, with Dj David Roja and Dale Mambo Show. ▶️El Casares Costa is directed for the children’s audience. It will be held on Sunday March 6th from 12 noon in the Jardines del Rosario where a play area will be installed with different attractions and included with animation and music.

CHRISTMAS PARTY AT MAR STREET IN MANILVA Mar Street in Manilva will wear color on December 26th. These will be added to the nice holiday lighting, so that young and old can enjoy a new activity started in the party area, directed by the edil, Daniel Muñoz. The little ones will be starting at 12:30h with the kids animation and the bouncy castles, especially prepared for them. At 1pm the students of Jessica Quiñones School of Body Expressions will perform. Also in the afternoon from 16:30h we will all live the holiday atmosphere with the performance of two Zambombás, which will come to remind us of the time we met. Christmas Village in Duquesa Castle

THE CHRISTMAS POPULATION WILL BE ENJOYED FROM DECEMBER 21 TO JANUARY 4 From the 21st of December and until the 4th of January the Duchess Castle will undertake a makeover, becoming a Christmas Village for these approaching dates will have lights and the best candy waves, holiday inflatables and a wide range of figures will be the protagonist of this core during these holidays. RUGBY BEACH 5 SPANISH SERIES BACK TO MANILVA La Feria beach will be the stage of the Spanish Series of Rugby Beach 5. The sports department headed by edil Manolo Gil, reports that after last years break, this spectacular sport will return to our municipality on July 10. According to the organization, during that day, teams across the country will compete in different categories, senior male and female levels, veterans, under-16 and under-14. This activity in Manilva returns the region back into the world of sport, as part of the 2021 calendar the Rugby Beach Series alongside nine other headquarters distributed throughout Spain. Competition times have been scheduled between 10:30 and 20:00 hours, with the finals of each category starting at 18:00 p.m. This variety of rugby is spectacular and very eye-catching and will safely capture the attention of residents and visitors.

The Commercial Councilor of Manilva City Council, Francisco Becerra, has reported that starting June 18th until September 5th, all interested parties will be able to visit and enjoy a new edition of the Market by the Sea. The Sabinillas boardwalk will stage this special event, very traditional market that already features XVI editions. Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday visitors will be able to tour the craft stalls starting at 20:00 pm. The edil, as in all activities carried out, begs that appropriate precautions are taken, wear masks and avoid large groups. This traditional craft market can be enjoyed from June 18 to September 5, every Friday, Saturday and Sunday starting at 20:00 pm. The new edition of the Market of the Sea in its XV edition will once again be located on the Marítimo de Sabinillas, at the height of the Ferris wheel.

Casares Carnival 2021

Casares celebrates their Carnival 2021 on March 6th Carnival de Casares 2021 features special and telematic programming targeting both children and adults. Casares councilwoman Antonia Pineda has explained that for safety reasons a series of virtual actions has been opted out. Children’s Carnival will feature ANIMATION through Radio Casares Facebook page, which will be able to follow all the little ones and their families from home and maintain an interaction with the entertainers.
